The Constitutional Court of Russia joins the CCJA
By letter from Mr.Valery ZORKINE, President of the Constitutional Court of Russia, dated March 5, 2018, addressed to the President of the CCJA, the Constitutional Court of Russia has formally requested to become an Observer Member of the CJCA.
With this membership, the CJCA has three (3) observer members: Brazil, Turkey and Russia and (45) full members.
It should be noted that the CJCA’s statute stipulates in its article 7: “Observer members are constitutional courts whose States are not members of the African Union and constitutional courts seeking observer status.
The observer member may be invited to participate in the activities of the CJCA, but without the right to vote; he is not subject to any financial contribution, but may make donations to the Conference.
